What age did your baby start walking?

My daughter will be one next month and I think she's still a fair way off walking. She's been pulling herself up on furniture and walking around it since she was about 9months she can stand up unaided for a few seconds but her balance isn't great and I think she's lacking the confidence to. How can I encourage her to walk? I'm not worried she's late or anything I just thought she'd be walking by her 1st birthday.
