Slowing down a child's learning?

I don't know what daycare your child is going to, but I agree with others. Find a new one. This teacher is doing your child no favors and could possibly be even doing some harm to her intellectually. It's so exciting to see a kid excited to learn, and I think your little girl is going to have an awesome time in school, whether she is ahead of the other kids or not. But if you feel like you should take her focus off more academic tasks, you could try taking her to a toddler ballet or gymnastics class, or some other hobbies she might enjoy. That won't slow down her learning (and no one should try) but more activities might help keep her engaged so she doesn't get bored.
